Although white is not normally associated with salmon flies this was another of James Wright's creations for the River Dee for use when the light was fading.  In recent times the White Wing has become associated with the River Tweed in Scotland but Norwegian fisherman also use it as a low-water 'secret weapon' when regular flies are not working
