This is a derivative of the very popular Black Brahan Salmon Fly, a very popular low-water Scottish salmon fly.  This version tied on a Copper Tube has become a popular early season fly in Iceland and Norway.  The smaller 1/2 inch version works well in summer and again is suited to waters carrying a green tinge, typical of many Iceland, Norwegian and Eastern Canadian rivers.
